The Teacher Education Division's Executive Board is the organization’s administrative, general legislative, and policy making body. By following TED's Strategic Plan, Constitution, and Bylaws, The Executive Board establishes the strategic direction for TED, addresses issues of concern, and sets policy.

The TED Executive Committee is composed of the following voting members (elected to office by the TED membership): President, President-Elect, Vice-President, Past President, Treasurer, Secretary, two Representatives to the Council for Exceptional Children's Representative Assembly, and three Members-at-Large (Representative to the Council for Exceptional Children's Knowledge and Skills Committee, Political Action, and Membership). 

The TED Executive Board (elected and non-elected members) is composed of all individuals on the TED Executive Committee, plus: Archivist, Communications Technology Committee Chair (ad hoc), Diversity Caucus Chair, Early Career Faculty Special Interest Group Chair, Early Childhood Faculty Special Interest Group Chair, Paraprofessional Special Interest Group Chair, Professional Development Chair, Publications Committee Chair, Research Committee Chair, Small Special Education Program Caucus (SSEPC) Chair, Student Representatives, Teacher Education and Special Education Editor, TEDLines editor, and the Executive Director.
